Emily Baker is a wife, mom to four children and an avid coffee drinker. When she and her husband were first married, they flipped cars. They were great at it. She could flip a car in a day and that made her very happy.
Almost 10 years later she came across Poshmark and she was intrigued. Like most people she opened her personal closet and grabbed a couple items from her personal closet that she no longer wore. She listed them that night and made her first sale.
Emily says she had a "matrix" moment where she cold she a whole new world open up to her. She did not know anyone who was reselling clothes. She kept quiet about her reselling venture because she wasn't sure it was socially acceptable.
After a couple of months Emily started an Instagram page to try and connect with anyone else who was passionate about flipping clothes. She was shocked to find a strong community of people like her. They made her confident because she wasn't alone.
Emily works her Poshmark business to make it a sustainable, steady source of income for her family. She is deeply thankful for the income, but she also feels good contributing to her family in a new way. Emily loves being a mom and wife, but focusing on building something that was for her has been so fulfilling.
Emily has found the same passion in the reselling community on social media that she has found in Poshmark. She has learned so much by watching how other resellers are running their businesses.
Emily believes that if she can inspire someone else on this journey that's a major win.
